Conference on Labor Market Regulation and Policy
This conference will address pressing questions about to improve the functioning of the modern labor market. This includes who holds market power in labor markets, noncompete agreements, discrimination, and what government can do to improve the functioning of the market. The conference will bring together high-profile academic researchers, former and current government officials, and private-sector representatives.
In addition to research presentations, this conference will include a keynote address by David Weil of Brandeis University, formerly the head of the DOL Wage and Hour Division, and a policy panel featuring Jonathan Hall, Chief Economist at Uber, and Ioana Marinescu, Principal Economist at the Department of Justice and professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
