*Please provide at least three-weeks’ notice when requesting an on-campus appointment so that we may confirm the visit prior to making your travel arrangements. Priority in scheduling a visit is given to those who have already submitted an application and have subsequently been invited to interview for admission. However, pre-applicants are also encouraged to visit campus and are asked to provide a current résumé and test scores at the time a visit is requested.
Traveling to Rochester.
Whether by air, train, or car, traveling to Rochester is convenient and affordable. We’re located close to major markets such as New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Toronto.
Driving
The University of Rochester is located within 500 miles of one third of the population of the US and Canada. Get turn-by-turn driving directions from Google Maps.
Train
The Rochester Amtrak station is located at 320 Central Ave. The station is served daily by trains traveling from New York City, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, and other major cities.
Flying
The University's River Campus is about two miles from the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC). Airlines including Southwest, United, Delta, and American offer non-stop service to major hubs such as JFK, LGA, ORD, ATL, PHL, CLT, and MSP.
Getting to Campus
Commercial taxi service and car rental are available from the airport and train station. Ride-sharing services (Uber/Lyft) are also available. Upon arrival please stop at the information booth on Wilson Boulevard and request a parking pass for the Simon School Career Management Center. The booth attendant will direct you to the appropriate parking lot.
