Trustee Ria Nova ’98 invests in student success
University of Rochester Trustee Ria Nova ’98 has committed $1 million to support scholarships and student success initiatives as part of For Ever Better Campaign.
Nova’s gift will provide both immediate funding and long-term support for undergraduate students, with a focus on expanding access and ensuring students can fully participate in the University experience. The commitment includes funding for the Ria & Josh Nova Endowed Scholarship—prioritizing first-generation students with demonstrated financial need—as well as support for leadership development, cocurricular programming, and emergency resources.
Her investment will also benefit students at the Simon Business School through George Eastman Circle scholarships and programming.
A finance executive and longtime University volunteer, Nova says her philanthropy is rooted in gratitude for the opportunities she received as a student. Her gift reflects a broader commitment to opening doors for future generations and strengthening the University’s mission.
