Course spotlight: Health Care Practicum I and II
You will complete a hands-on, team-based project at a health care organization to apply the concepts you have learned in the classroom. The projects begin in late summer and are completed in mid-winter. Projects are chosen with input from the senior leadership at each organization, with consultation from the faculty director at Simon Business School.
Projects require that students not only apply analyses learned in the classroom, but also that they argue persuasively that the recommendations based on the analyses are valuable and should be implemented. Teams of three to four students are responsible for the individual projects and meet with the instructor individually. The organizations submitting projects must be willing to spend time with students and to provide appropriate data.
Experts who will lead you into your professional future.Simon faculty are known for being unabashedly analytical and bringing the cutting edge science of business to the classroom. Simon professors excellence in academic research, instruction, and innovation help keep the spirit of debate alive, reminding you that great minds do not always think alike.
